At the gates of Orléans and Chambord, the Ferme du Petit Gué du Roi is a farm which we have brought back to life to raise American Paint and Quarter Horse horses, Scottish Highland cattle on about thirty hectares, then to create in 2020 a small farm campsite, the Camping du Petit Gué du Roi , with only unusual accommodations (two lodge tents, a retro caravan and a tent pitch) and a shop of local products (AOC wines, beers, honey, jams...), before starting in 2021 the production of walnuts and artisanal oils , also for sale in the shop.

The farm is located right next to the Domaine du Gué du Roi.The remains of a small 18th-century castle, sadly no longer standing, which we bought in 2011 and patiently renovated to create a haven of happiness for our family and guests. In the one-hectare park enclosed by centuries-old walls, we transformed the barn and dovecote into two self-catering cottages and the chapel into two guest rooms , and added a wooden caravan and, for the little ones , a mini-farm with Bullet, the Irish pony, Iroquois, the piebald donkey, Abigail, Bonnie and Clyde, the pygmy goats, Blue, the local sheep, not to mention the chickens, roosters, and ducks!

Ideally located on the Loire Valley Castles route, 1 hour 30 minutes southwest of Paris, with direct access to the A10 and A71 motorways and at the crossroads of major hiking trails, we are delighted to welcome all tourists seeking an authentic, bucolic, and unusual getaway, with the utmost respect for Mother Nature , as well as horseback riders. the European Route D'Artagnan , the cyclists of the Loire à Vélo and the walkers of St Jacques de Compostelle.

Please note that cars remain in the car park at the entrance to the campsite and that caravans and motorhomes are not accepted for logistical reasons, as our capacity is very limited.

Lodge Tent for 4 to 5 people
Once upon a time, there was a Farm Campsite... ideal for families.

An unusual and exotic atmosphere awaits in this large, fully equipped lodge tent, decorated in an Out of Africa style. Located near the stables with independent access. Free parking at the entrance; no cars are allowed on the campsite.

On 24 m²: 1 bedroom with 1 double bed (140 cm) and 3 single beds (90 cm). In an adjoining cabin, there is a fully equipped outdoor kitchenette reserved for campers. Shared toilet and shower facilities are located in the stables 20 m away. Sheets, towels, tea towels, and soap are provided.

For a maximum of 5 people (including children and babies), day and night.

Lodge Tent for 2 to 3 people

An unusual and exotic atmosphere awaits in this large, fully equipped lodge tent, decorated in a vintage style. Located near the stables with independent access. Free parking at the entrance; no cars are allowed on the campsite.

On 13 m²: 1 bedroom with 3 single beds (90 cm). In an adjoining cabin, an equipped outdoor kitchenette is reserved for campers. Shared toilet and shower facilities are located in the stables 20 m away. Sheets, towels, tea towels, and soap are provided.

For a maximum of 3 people (including children and babies), day and night.

RETRO CARAVAN for 2 people
Once upon a time, there was a Farm Campsite... ideal for lovers.

A unique and bucolic atmosphere awaits in this authentic 1970 Tabbert caravan, restored in a Bardot-esque pink and green gingham style. Located near the stables with independent access. Garden furniture and a BBQ are available under a shade sail. Free parking is available at the entrance; no cars are allowed on the campsite.

In an 8m² space accessible by one step: a living room with a double bed (140cm) and a fully equipped kitchenette. Shared sanitary facilities for the campsite are located in the stables 20m away. Sheets, towels, tea towels and soap are provided.

For a maximum of 2 people (including children and babies), day and night.

On approximately 50 m² of grassy area with private garden furniture. In an adjoining cabin, there is an equipped outdoor kitchenette reserved for campers. Shared sanitary facilities for the campsite are located in the stables 20 m away.

For a maximum of 2 people (including children and babies), day and night.
