At the gates of Orleans and Chambord, the Domaine du Gué du Roi is a vestige of a small 18th century castle, unfortunately disappeared, that we bought in 2011 and patiently renovated to make it a house of happiness for our family and our guests. In the one-hectare park surrounded by centuries-old walls, we have thus transformed the barn and the dovecote into two lodgings and the chapel into two guest rooms , and installed a wooden caravan .
At the same time, we have revived the adjoining farm, the Ferme du Petit Gué du Roi , by creating a horse and donkey farm on a dozen hectares; in 2020, we opened a campsite on the farm with a retro caravan and a lodge tent, as well as a shop selling local products (AOC wines and other delicatessen).
Ideally located on the Route des Châteaux de la Loire, 1h30 south-west of Paris with direct access to the A10 and A71 motorways and at the crossroads of major hiking trails, today we are happy to welcome all tourists there. in search of an unusual and bucolic break that respects its environment , as well as the riders of the European D'Artagnan Route , the cyclists of the Loire à Vélo and the walkers of St Jacques de Compostelle.
